Iran Condemns U.S. Decision to Designate Ansarullah as a Terrorist Organization
News - Middle East: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Thursday the U.S. decision to designate "Ansarullah" as a terrorist organization.
In a statement, the ministry described the U.S. decision as a pretext to impose inhumane sanctions on the Yemeni people, labeling it an unjustified action that violates international law.
The statement further highlighted Yemen's honorable solidarity with and support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Zionist enemy.
The ministry also noted that the U.S. decision aligns with Washington's support for acts of genocide against the Palestinian people.
It warned that this unilateral move by the U.S. would further undermine the rule of law and threaten regional peace and stability.
As part of its war on the Yemeni people, Washington announced late Wednesday that it is designating the Yemeni government in Sana'a on its so-called "terrorism" list, threatening to mobilize its regional proxies against Yemen in an attempt to pressure the Yemeni people to abandon their support for Gaza.
