In their statement, the Yemeni Scholars Association called on the Muslim world, including scholars and intellectuals, to expose US terrorism and stand in solidarity with Yemen's humanitarian stance, particularly its support for Gaza. They also urged Arab and Islamic nations, along with those aligned with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to reconsider the consequences of endorsing or promoting this designation.

As part of its war on the Yemeni people, Washington announced late Wednesday that it is designating the Yemeni government in Sana'a on its so-called "terrorism" list, threatening to mobilize its regional proxies against Yemen in an attempt to pressure the Yemeni people to abandon their support for Gaza.
