News - Yemen: Former Minister of State and Secretary-General of the National Social Party, Abdulaziz Al-Bakir, stated that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was a great leader above the earth and will remain so beneath it, as he was always known as a courageous and unmatched mujahid.

In a post on his personal X account on Saturday, Al-Bakir emphasized that the martyr leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stood like an unshakable mountain against the Zionist project. "No one before or after him inflicted such devastating defeats on the Zionists and thwarted their schemes as he did—may Allah bless his soul. Even his enemies have testified to this before his friends."

In another post, the Secretary-General of the National Social Party called on the people of the nation to unite and close ranks. He added, "Anyone who examines the Arab scene will find that calls for reconciliation and tolerance are nearly absent, as some of those advocating for them have no voice, while others remain silent."

Sayyed Nasrallah was assassinated in Israel’s bombardment of southern Beirut on September 27, 2024. Using 85 tons of explosives, Israeli jets leveled six residential buildings in Dahiyeh, following a week-long bombing campaign that hit many areas from southern Lebanon to Beirut.

Sayyed Safieddine was assassinated in an Israeli attack in October 2024.

Hezbollah postponed funeral ceremonies for both leaders due to fears of Israeli attacks on the ceremony.

Now, more than five months after the attack, Beirut’s airport and streets are seeing a steady stream of people, many waving Hezbollah flags and carrying images of Nasrallah as they gather to honor him.

On Tuesday, a Hezbollah official said delegations from 79 countries will attend the commemoration ceremony for Nasrallah and Executive Safieddine, scheduled for February 23.
