Palestinian officials said Saturday that several military bulldozers stormed the al-Manshiya neighborhood, “destroying roads and demolishing parts of residential buildings.”
According to Nihad Al-Shawish, head of the Nour Shams camp's Popular Committee, Israeli forces forced residents in the vicinity of the camp to evacuate, threatening them that the military was preparing for "large-scale detonations" in the area.
"The army has ordered all residents of the camp to leave," Shawish told Turkish news agency, Anadolu.
Hamas said in a statement that the recent violence committed by the military forces affirms “Israel’s systematic intention to displace our people” from the camps in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian resistance group urged the United Nations “to take immediate action to stop the occupation’s horrific and ongoing violations of international laws.”
“We warn of the consequences of continued international silence on the crimes of the fascist occupation government against our people.”
Israel’s offensive on Nour Shams has now entered its 21st day, while the regime’s forces have been targeting northern West Bank cities, particularly Jenin and Tulkarem, for over a month.
According to Palestinian health officials, at least 64 people have so far been killed and thousands of others displaced.
An international human rights organization says the military has killed at least 16 children in the West Bank since the beginning of 2025.
Ayed Abu Eqtaish, the accountability program director of the Defense for Children International, criticized the international community for its failure to “hold Israeli soldiers accountable for their violations against Palestinians.”
He said that there’s “a growing ease with which Israeli soldiers open fire on Palestinian children, leading to an increase in the number of those killed or injured.”
A UN special rapporteur has previously warned that if the Israeli regime is not forced to stop, its genocide of Palestinians will not be confined to Gaza.
Israel’s 15 months of brutal campaign of death and destruction and ethnic cleansing, which claimed the lives of more than 48,000 people in Gaza, came to an end by a ceasefire deal on January 19.
