Joint Meeting Parties Condemn Continued Closure of Gaza Crossings as War Crime

News - Middle East: The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) condemned the continued closure of Gaza Strip crossings by the Zionist enemy for the third consecutive day, preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, essential goods, in a clear insistence on the policy of collective punishment and a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement

The JMP affirmed in a statement that this unjust siege, aimed at starving the steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and deepening their humanitarian suffering, constitutes a full-fledged war crime targeting innocent civilians in their daily sustenance.

The statement pointed to the necessity of taking a unified and effective Arab, Islamic stance to put an end to this humanitarian tragedy, and to exert maximum pressure to force the Zionist entity to open the crossings immediately and without restrictions.

The statement also reiterated Yemen's firm stance, both the people and the leadership, in supporting the just Palestinian cause, standing by the heroic Palestinian people and their valiant resistance until they achieve their legitimate rights and establish their independent state.

Last Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, following hours after the conclusion of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange, and the enemy's obstruction of entering negotiations for the second phase.

Backed by the United States and its Western allies, Israel launched the war on Gaza after Hamas and other G1aza-based Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli regime in response to its decades-long campaign of oppression against Palestinians.

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 48,405 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and the injury of 111,835 others since early October 2023.
