Yemen's Shura Council Condemns Netanyahu's Ban on Humanitarian Aid to Gaza as War Crime

News - Middle East: The Shura Council strongly condemned the criminal Netanyahu’s decision to prevent the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Gaza Strip.

n a statement issued by the council, it considered this step a war crime and collective punishment against the residents of Gaza. It is part of the ongoing crimes of the Zionist enemy, a blatant and flagrant violation of international, humanitarian law, and a dangerous escalation that threatens to undermine the truce and the ceasefire agreement.

It pointed out that the Zionist enemy continues to commit war crimes against the Palestinian people, blatantly disregarding all international and humanitarian conventions.

The Shura Council warned the Zionist enemy of the consequences of continuing its crimes against the Palestinian people and violating the truce agreement. It reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast stance in supporting Palestine and stated that the Yemeni Armed Forces are ready to resume military operations against the usurping entity if the enemy continues to breach the truce agreement.

The council’s statement called on Arab, Islamic countries to take serious positions and act to break the Zionist enemy’s siege and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, food, and medicine to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Last Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, following hours after the conclusion of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange, and the enemy's obstruction of entering negotiations for the second phase.

Backed by the United States and its Western allies, Israel launched the war on Gaza after Hamas and other G1aza-based Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli regime in response to its decades-long campaign of oppression against Palestinians.

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 48,440 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and the injury of 111,845 others since early October 2023.
