In a statement, Wednesday, the movement said that the announcement by the Yemeni Armed Forces to resume operations against the enemy's ships reflects the genuine stance of the Yemeni people and their leadership, as well as their true commitment to supporting and backing the Palestinian people and their resistance.
The statement pointed out that the resumption of operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces constitutes real pressure to break the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
Hamas called on the peoples of the nation, free people around the world to escalate effective actions to pressure the Zionist occupation and its supporters, in order to end the aggression, lift the siege on Gaza, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian people.
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced Tuesday the resumption of the ban on Israeli vessels passing through the Red and Arabian Seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden, following the expiration of the deadline set by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, until siege on Gaza is lifted.
"In support of the Palestinian people and following the expiration of the deadline set by Sayyed Abdulmalik for mediators to pressure the Israeli enemy to reopen crossings and allow aid into the Gaza Strip—and given the mediators' failure to achieve this—the Yemeni Armed Forces hereby confirm the resumption of the ban on the passage of all Israeli vessels through the designated operation zones, including the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden."
The statement emphasized that "any Israeli ship attempting to break this ban will be targeted in the announced operation zones," reiterating that "this ban will continue until the crossings to Gaza are reopened, allowing the entry of food, medicine, and other necessary supplies."
Earlier, In a speech Friday, regarding the latest regional and international developments, the Leader stated: "We announce to the entire world that we will give the mediators a 4-day deadline. If humanitarian aid is not allowed into the Gaza Strip, we will resume our maritime operations against the Israeli enemy ."
Since Israel’s war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, following the Palestinian resistance’s Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Yemen has declared its steadfast support for Palestine. The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched military operations targeting Israeli-linked ships and striking Israeli targets, vowing to continue until Israel ceases its aggression.
