News - Middle East: Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, rejected on Sunday the accusations made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Yemen, reiterating that the Yemeni people are free and independent, pursuing independent national policies.

Commenting on the recent American aggression against Yemen, Salami stated, "The American president is once again attributing the operations of Ansarullah to Iran and warning against continued support for them. We affirm that the Yemeni people are an independent and free nation in their own country, following independent policies."  

Major General Salami added, "The Yemenis make their own strategic and operational decisions, and Tehran has no role in organizing the policies of the resistance movement."  

He emphasized, "Iran takes responsibility for any action it undertakes clearly and explicitly, wherever and whenever it occurs. We are a reliable and globally recognized military force, and we openly declare our responsibility for our military actions or support for anyone."  

He continued, "We have officially taken responsibility for every measure we have taken in the Operation True Promise and other operations. There is no reason for us to do anything without taking responsibility for it."  

"We will not start wars, but if we are threatened, our response will be decisive."  

The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps pointed out that the outcome of threats by the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a humiliating defeat for them. He said, "War has always brought humiliating military defeats to global arrogance and America, but they have not yet learned from this lesson."  

He added, "The idea that the Iranian people will submit to the political will of the enemy through intimidation is completely wrong."  

He stated, "The Americans have not yet realized that they cannot solve the problem through war. Threatening Iran has always ended in failure, and this should be a lesson for everyone."  

He affirmed, "The Iranian people have always been peace-loving and have never initiated war, but at the same time, they have not remained silent in the face of threats and will respond decisively," warning, "All enemies that we will confront any threat, and our response will be severe."  

Earlier on Saturday, Trump had announced on X that he had ordered the United States military to launch “decisive and powerful military action” against, what he described as, Yemen’s Ansarullah, although the Saturday American attacks just targeted Yemeni civilians.

"We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective,” he had added.

The American enemy launched an aggression with nearly 30 airstrikes on the capital, Sana'a, Saadah, Dhamar, Hajjah, and Al-Bayda.  

In an initial toll, 10 children and a woman were martyred, and more than 10 others, including women and children, were injured in the aggression on two houses in the Qahza area of Saada province.  

In Sana'a, at least 9 martyrs and 9 other civilians, most of them children and women, were injured in an initial toll.
