News - Middle East: Hezbollah has firmly rejected reports suggesting its involvement in recent incidents along the Lebanese-Syrian border. Hezbollah’s media relations department “categorically denied the circulating reports regarding Hezbollah’s involvement in the events that took place today on the Lebanese-Syrian border.”

The statement reiterated their longstanding position, asserting, “Hezbollah has no involvement in any events taking place inside Syrian territory.”

According to the National News Agency, multiple rockets fell in the border town of al-Qasr, reportedly fired from the Qusayr countryside in Syria.

According to reports, an artillery shell fired to struck a house in Hawdh al-Assi, near Hosh al-Sayyid Ali, a village along the Lebanese-Syrian border.

One child was martyred and four other individuals were wounded in the bombardment.

In related development the Lebanese army, in coordination with the Lebanese Red Cross, handed over the bodies of three Syrian fighters at the Jousiyeh al-Qaa border crossing. Prior reports indicated that the fighters were killed on the border, though specific details surrounding the incidents remain unclear.

Simultaneously, a Lebanese Army reconnaissance drone was seen patrolling the skies over Hermel and the border areas with Syria.

In a related development, the Syrian Ministry of Defense claimed responsibility for artillery shelling targeting border towns in Lebanon.
