News - Yemen: Mohammed Taher An'am, advisor to Yemen’s Supreme Political Council and member of the High Committee for Supporting Al-Aqsa, stated that recent US airstrikes on Yemen are acts of revenge on behalf of the "Zionist entity," acknowledging Yemen’s significant role in supporting Gaza.  

In an interview with Al-Alam TV, An'am described the US aggression as a "collusion between America and the Zionists to retaliate against Yemenis, who have set an example for the rest of the Arab and Muslim world." He affirmed, "We are capable of confronting, resisting, and striking back at those who oppose us."  

He emphasized that Yemen has proven that "America is not the invincible power that some Arab rulers fear," adding, "We can kill them just as they kill us, and we can inflict pain on them—as Allah stated in the Quran: 'If you are suffering, they too are suffering as you are.”  

An'am outlined three phases of aggression against Yemen: Initial attempts at control through the US embassy, followed by the US-backed Saudi-Emirati war on Yemen, then the current direct US-British intervention, which he said "will fail just as before and will not break Yemen’s resilience."

He warned that the "Americans and Zionists have entangled themselves in Yemen, facing a wise leadership, brave people, and steadfast resistance—soon they will realize they’re in real trouble." He stressed that "political solutions are useless against the Zionist enemy without strong deterrence."  

Calling for unity among Arab and Islamic nations, An'am criticized "puppet leaders" who suppress protests and solidarity with Palestine, urging peoples to seek "faithful leadership."  

He asserted that "in times of war, political action is futile—military deterrence and popular unity are the only ways to confront occupation." Reiterating Yemen’s stance, he cited the call by President Mahdi al-Mashat, which demands the return of Jewish settlers to Europe and America.

"This," he declared, "is the only solution to the Palestinian conflict."

Yemen has declared open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have achieved significant victories against the naval forces of the US, the UK, and Israel. These operations led to the effective shutdown of the Port of Eilat, also known as Umm Rashrash, and forced the US aircraft carriers to retreat from the Red Sea. The Yemeni forces also sank or damaged dozens of Israeli-linked ships.

These achievements have surprised many observers, as Yemen was not previously regarded as a significant naval power. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their operations as long as the Israeli regime maintains its war and siege against Palestinian territories.
