Yemen: A Decade of U.S.-Saudi Aggression and Abysmal Failure

Yemen: A Decade of U.S.-Saudi Aggression and Abysmal Failure

Yemen: Yemen has endured ten years of U.S.-Saudi aggression that began on March 26, 2015, targeting all aspects of life with the aim of eliminating Ansarallah.

This extended period confirms several truths about this aggression. First, America is its true leader, though it adopted a "lead-from-behind" strategy, delegating the task to Saudi Arabia—Yemen’s historical enemy neighbor over many years.

Evidence of America’s leadership is clear: the aggression against Yemen was announced in Washington by the then-Saudi ambassador to the U.S., Adel al-Jubeir.

Subsequently, America provided extensive and varied support to the coalition, including mid-air refueling for warplanes, the presence of American officers in operation rooms, and direct military deployment on Yemeni soil in Hadramawt, Aden, and Socotra Island. The real objective of the aggression against Yemen was to secure maritime routes in the Red and Arabian Seas, serving primarily Israeli interests.

Now, after ten years, American aggression has returned to Yemen with an unmistakable and unambiguous face, led by U.S. President Donald Trump. The goals remain the same: eliminating Ansarallah on one hand and protecting Israeli navigation in the Red Sea on the other.

In a speech marking the tenth anniversary of the U.S.-Saudi aggression against Yemen, Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, affirmed that today’s American aggression is a continuation of yesterday’s, noting that Trump has stumbled into a quagmire in Yemen.

Al-Mashat directly addressed Trump, asserting that his aggression against Yemen to deter its support for Gaza will not succeed. Neither his presidency nor his remaining lifespan will be enough to sway Yemen from its stance. He emphasized that Yemen is ready across generations and will remain the graveyard where arrogant empires meet their final blows.

Escalating Military Front

Alongside Yemen’s unwavering political support for Palestine, the Yemeni Armed Forces have continued over the past week to launch precision strikes deep into the Israeli enemy entity in occupied Palestine, alongside targeted attacks on the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and its accompanying warships in the Red Sea.

Notable aspects of Yemen’s military operations include:

1. Intensified strikes on Ben Gurion International Airport in an attempt to impose an air blockade. A statement from the Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed that attacks on the airport will not cease, calling on international airlines to halt flights to it. This adds a new pressure point on the Israeli enemy, complementing the naval blockade on Israeli ships in the Red Sea with an aerial siege on Ben Gurion.

2. The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized that "the confrontations with American and Israeli forces in recent days were only the beginning of a gradual expansion of defensive operations in the coming days. The enemy will witness more of the relentless might, determination, and faith of Yemen’s sons."

3. The second point confirms that the Yemeni Armed Forces possess tools to pressure their enemies, as has become evident. In recent days, the forces have not limited themselves to firing a single missile at settlements in occupied Palestine but have launched two missiles at diverse targets.

As for the confrontation with the USS Harry S. Truman, U.S. naval forces have been exhausted and fatigued over the past two weeks of renewed clashes. Meanwhile, American airstrikes on Yemen have achieved no significant results. Yemen’s military capabilities remain unharmed and continue to grow in sophistication and reach.

 No Prospect of Deterring Yemen

As Yemeni operations against the enemy entity persist, and as Zionist settler hordes return to their daily routine of terror and fleeing to shelters by the millions, confirmations mount of the failure of the U.S. aggression in Yemen to achieve its primary goal of neutralizing the Yemeni front and isolating it from Gaza.

Last week, Zionist media began expressing Israeli despair at deterring Yemen. The enemy’s Jerusalem Post stated: "Yemen’s refusal to back down after over a week of U.S. airstrikes clearly indicates that airpower is not a magic solution for winning wars." It noted that Yemenis have previously withstood Israeli and international airstrikes and emerged resilient, as they put it.

In reality, the U.S.-Saudi aggression in Yemen faces numerous challenges and difficulties, most notably:

- Poor intelligence on Yemeni military sites, which have employed sophisticated camouflage techniques for a decade. Many locations remain unknown, while airstrikes have been limited to old camps built during Ali Abdullah Saleh’s regime—empty sites of no value, making the raids pointless.
- Yemen’s vast territory, which strains enemy air forces and forces them to spread operations across multiple provinces, diluting their effectiveness.

It can be unequivocally stated that airstrikes will not decide the battle in Yemen. Trump’s continued escalation is a form of madness and reckless adventurism. The only remaining option is a ground invasion, which would be extremely costly and exhausting, given the Yemeni army’s vast combat experience gained from battles against Saudi mercenaries in recent years. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and their American backer have already proven utterly incapable of facing Yemen on the ground.

Thus, these are clear indicators of Trump’s failure and defeat in Yemen. If he does not hasten to extricate himself from this predicament, he will pay a heavy price, and defeat will haunt him until the end of his days.
