News- Yemen: The U.S. renewed its aggressive airstrikes today, Wednesday, targeting the capital Sana’a and several Yemeni provinces.

The airstrikes hit the Al-Hafa area in Al-Sabeen District of Sana’a with 14 raids, while 3 more strikes targeted Bani Hashish District in the same governorate. Another strike was reported in Manakhah District.

In Al-Jawf Governorate, U.S. warplanes carried out a series of raids on Al-Hzm District, the provincial capital.

Earlier, U.S. aircraft launched a series of airstrikes on Mayfa'a in the Anas District of Dhamar Governorate, and two additional strikes targeted the Tukhya area in Majz District, Sa’adah Governorate.

The U.S. has continued its air campaign against Yemen since March 15, in an attempt to break the maritime blockade imposed by Yemen in the Red Sea. The blockade is part of Yemen’s effort to end the aggression and lift the siege on the Gaza Strip.

The US air launched a campaign against Yemen began on March 15, 2025, following Yemen's decision to resume retaliatory attacks on Israel in response to Israel's intensified operations in Gaza. Since the initiation of the airstrikes, US forces have targeted civilian infrastructure throughout Yemen, including communication networks, power plants, and water reservoirs, on an almost daily basis.

Washington justifies its airstrikes by claiming they are aimed at restoring freedom of navigation in the waters around Yemen. However, Yemen has rejected these claims, stating that its military operations are specifically directed against Israeli-linked vessels and not international shipping.

Yemen's military has been targeting ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, as well as those operating in Israeli-occupied territories, since October 2023, following Israel’s genocidal actions in Gaza.
