In a statement on Friday, the Mujahideen Movement strongly condemned the new American aggression targeting the Ras Isa oil port, which resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded, affirming its steadfast support and solidarity with the Yemeni people.
The movement mourned "the martyrs of the Yemeni people who fell today as a result of the treacherous American aggression on the Ras Isa oil port, ascending as martyrs on the path to Al-Quds and in support of the oppressed Palestinian people."
It also reiterated its salute to the valiant Yemeni people, their resistance leadership, and Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, who have remained firm and unwavering in their principled stance supporting the oppressed in Palestine despite the aggression, siege, and conspiracies.
The movement stated, "The great Yemeni people today are paying with their blood and resources the price of their honorable historic stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza and in defense of Palestinian rights."
It emphasized that this blatant aggression targeting civilian facilities is a reflection of the continuous military and intelligence failure experienced by the American and Zionist enemies at the hands of the Yemeni resistance fighters.
The statement concluded that the American administration and its allies will not succeed in breaking Yemen’s resolve or its free will, nor in crushing the will of resistance in the region. It called on the nation and its active forces to unite and stand firm in the face of the enemies targeting the nation’s resources and existence.
On Thursday night, US aggression launched 14 airstrikes targeting the Ras Issa oil port in Hodeidah, a key facility used for receiving imported oil containers. The attack resulted in a mounting toll of casualties, with the Health Office in Hodeidah reporting at least 38 martyrs and over 100 wounded as of the latest count.
According to local sources cited by Al-Masirah Net, the American strikes hit the port while workers were present, and further attacks resumed even as civil defense teams were attempting rescue operations—leading to additional deaths and injuries among first responders. Medical teams are currently overwhelmed as they treat victims, many of whom suffered severe burns and trauma.
This attack is part of a broader American military campaign that began on March 15, 2025, following Yemen’s decision to resume retaliatory strikes on Israel in response to the intensification of Israeli operations in Gaza. Since then, US airstrikes have consistently targeted civilian infrastructure across Yemen, including power stations, communication facilities, and water systems.
Washington claims the strikes are meant to safeguard freedom of navigation near Yemen’s waters. However, Yemeni authorities refute this, asserting their operations exclusively target vessels linked to Israel and are not directed at international shipping. The continued escalation by the US has significantly worsened the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, drawing condemnation from various regional and resistance movements.
