Al-Masirah's correspondent reported that the airstrikes targeted a detention center for African migrants inside the prison located in the city.
The Civil Defense and rescue teams are currently working to extinguish the fires and rescue the victims, while ambulance teams are intensively working to retrieve and transfer dozens of the injured to the city's hospitals.
The correspondent also noted that the targeted Reserve Prison housed around 100 African detainees. Initial estimates indicate that dozens of African migrants were martyred, and 50 wounded victims were brought to the Republican Hospital from the US crime at the Reserve Prison in Sa'adah.
The images from the site show dozens of scattered bodies and limbs, with rescue teams continuing their efforts to recover victims and provide medical assistance. The number of casualties is yet to be determined.
These airstrikes come as part of the escalating aerial bombardment campaign launched by the American enemy against Sa'adah Governorate during the late hours of last night, which also included three raids on Kitaf District and two raids around the city’s outskirts.
This brutal crime adds to a second war crime committed by American warplanes in less than 12 hours, targeting citizens' homes in the Thaqban area of Bani Al-Harith district in the capital, Sana'a. The attacks resulted in the martyrdom of eight civilians and injured several others, including women and children.
These attacks are part of Washington’s ongoing military campaign, which it claims aims to deter Yemeni operations in the Red Sea. However, the strikes have largely targeted civilian areas, resulting in mounting casualties among innocent men, women, and children.
