In less than 24 hours, the Israeli Nevatim Air Base was hit again by Yemeni hyper-sonic missiles. This base is one of the most critical for the Israeli military, as it serves as a launch point for airstrikes on civilians in Gaza.
Military expert and analyst Brig. Gen. Mujib Shamsan stated, “Targeting the base twice within less than a day indicates that Yemen has introduced new generations of hypersonic missiles and drones into service. This proves that the Yemeni Armed Forces are continuously and increasingly developing their military capabilities.” He added that “these repeated successes expose US claims that it has destroyed Yemen's missile and drone storage facilities.”
Shamsan emphasized that “the near-daily operations deep inside Zionist territory, along with the downing of seven MQ-9 drones, reflect the rapid growth of Yemeni military power.” He also said that “the escalating Yemeni military operations have invalidated US claims about degrading Yemen’s military capabilities. The Americans now find themselves in a deeply troubling position.”
Meanwhile, military expert Brig. Gen. Ali Abi Raad confirmed that “this is not the first time Yemenis have struck the Zionist Nevatim base, which houses F-35 fighter jets and THAAD-1 missile defense systems.”
Speaking in a special news broadcast on Al-Masirah, Abi Raad explained that the base “contains three American THAAD systems and serves as a strategic warehouse for US weapons and ammunition.” He stressed that “the successful strike by a Yemeni missile proves that the modifications introduced by Yemeni engineers enable the missile to reach its target with high precision.”
He added that “these modifications increase the pressure on both the US and Israeli enemies, placing them in an embarrassing position due to their failure to intercept or block the attacks.” According to Hebrew-language media, “20 interception attempts were made against the Yemeni hypersonic ‘Palestine-2’ ballistic missile, but the enemy’s defenses failed due to the missile’s extraordinary speed.”
Abi Raad highlighted the technological sophistication of the missiles: “These are guided missiles with autonomous targeting systems using high-precision coordinates. What sets them apart is their speed—after exiting the atmosphere, they re-enter like a glide bomb and accelerate significantly toward the target, allowing for high accuracy.”
He concluded by revealing that “Yemeni forces have developed custom applications using special codes to control the missile up to just meters before impact. This confirms the missile hits its target despite interception attempts. In cases where the enemy fails to intercept, the missile’s smart guidance system ensures precision strikes.”
