News - Yemen:   Senior Political Council Advisor Mohammed Taher An’am affirmed that the weekly gathering of millions of Yemenis in protest squares reflects the people’s faith-driven culture and Quranic consciousness.  

In an exclusive statement to Almasirah channel, he explained that the Quranic project, whose foundations were laid by the martyred leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi in 2001, has made Yemen the focus of global attention.  

An’am emphasized that Yemen’s steadfast moral and faith-based stance in supporting Gaza has significantly bolstered the resilience of the Palestinian resistance and strengthened Palestinians against Zionist aggression. 

He stressed that the weekly million-man rallies debunk the claims of enemies, traitors, and hypocrites who allege that Yemen’s pro-Gaza position is held only by a minority and does not represent the entire Yemeni people. The massive public protests, he noted, grant legitimacy to the Yemeni Armed Forces in carrying out military operations against the Zionist entity and the American enemy.  

An’am pointed out that many Arab and Islamic nations desire to support Gaza, but oppressive regimes suppress them with laws and penalties that could land them in prison if they act. He urged these populations to break the siege imposed on them by backing Gaza through viable means, such as economic boycotts and raising societal awareness.  

Massive million-man marches swept through the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, under the slogan "With Gaza and Palestine... Facing the Murderers and Arrogant Powers," in support of Gaza and defiance of U.S. aggression against Yemen. The rallies came in response to the call of the Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 50,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has also targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, aiming to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
