News - Middle East: Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi hailed Yemen’s supportive stance toward the Palestinian people as "an embodiment of genuine faith and principled belonging."

He emphasized that Yemen’s position "reflects deep faith and unwavering dignity," adding: "Yemen’s actions affirm its true belonging to the Arab and Islamic nation."

The Hamas official underscored the profound impact of Yemen’s role in the ongoing battle, noting: "Yemen’s contribution to this struggle is both monumental and decisive."

On Sunday, the Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed in a televised statement, read by military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, the failure of the American and Israeli defense systems to intercept the missile aimed at Ben Gurion Airport.

The Armed Forces further clarified that as a result of the airport strike, over 3 million Zionists fled to shelters, and airport operations were completely halted for more than an hour.

The Armed Forces also reiterated their warning to global airlines to cease flights to Ben Gurion Airport, as it is unsafe.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 50,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has also targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, aiming to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
