News - Yemen: Yemen's President Mahdi Al-Mashat has affirmed that Yemen’s military readiness is at the highest level and that the response to Israeli aggression will be seismic, carried out with great momentum, and will arrive soon.

During a meeting on Friday, President Mashat emphasized that Yemen holds a strong position in the region and has successfully resisted all attempts to deter it from supporting Gaza—where the people are suffering starvation and genocide at the hands of the Zionist entity. He described these crimes as a disgrace to all who remain silent or complicit.

His Excellency briefed members of the Supreme Political Council on developments regarding the recently announced ceasefire agreement with the United States, praising the brotherly and responsible role played by Oman in facilitating the process.

He confirmed that Yemen regards the agreement as a decisive victory—by Allah’s grace and thanks to the wisdom of the leadership in managing the confrontation with US military operations supporting the Israeli enemy—ultimately leading to a US retreat after its significant failure.

He also underscored the steadfastness of the heroic Yemeni people, who stood as a parallel front alongside the courageous Armed Forces of Yemen. Their pride, resilience, and exceptional performance in facing down the world’s most powerful military astonished the international community. This, he said, will rekindle the spirit of resistance throughout the region in the face of oppression and tyranny.

President Mashat reassured the Yemeni people about the stability of the economic situation and the availability of fuel supplies, highlighting ongoing efforts to reopen Sana’a International Airport, resolve the issue of stranded citizens, and address matters concerning power stations. He concluded by asserting that the Israeli enemy will face a firm and deterrent response for its crimes.

On Tuesday, the Israeli aggression launched a series of intense airstrikes targeting the capital Sana’a and Amran Governorate, marking a new escalation aimed at Yemen’s civilian infrastructure and vital facilities.

On Monday night, dozens of Israeli warplanes also bombed the port city of Hodeidah.

Since March, the United States, along with Britain and Israel, has carried out multiple airstrikes on Yemen, claiming to have hit more than 1,000 targets.

The campaign aims to halt Yemeni military operations against Israeli and Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea as well as attacks targeting military sites deep within the occupied Palestinian territories.
