With Every Strike, Yemen Widens the US-Israeli Circle of Failure: Military Expert

News - Yemen: Military Expert Maj. Gen. Mujeeb Shamsan pointed out that with each new Yemeni strike, the scope of Israeli and American failure in the region widens, emphasizing that the continuity of Yemen’s military operations proves that deterrence is not momentary but a comprehensive strategy.

In an exclusive statement to Almasirah channel, Maj. Gen. Shamsan explained that the Yemeni strike targeting Ben Gurion Airport (Lod) deep inside the Zionist entity on Friday afternoon came after the US announced its withdrawal from the role it was originally deployed for—namely, influencing Yemeni operations in the Red Sea and its second round of aggression against Yemen.

Thus, this operation marks the second strike following the agreement that led to America’s withdrawal from its mission of protecting the Israeli occupation.

He affirmed that with every operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces, they reinforce the defeat suffered by the US during its aggressive campaign, while simultaneously demonstrating Yemen’s ability to maintain the core objective of its operations: pressuring the Zionist enemy entity to halt its aggression and siege on Gaza.

The military expert noted that with each operation, the Yemeni Armed Forces expanded the scope of America’s defeat—a country that had been fully committed to protecting the Zionist entity and ensuring its dominance over all regional states.

The second key point, he added, is Yemen’s ability to impose an aerial siege on the Zionist entity, highlighting that Israel’s Channel 14 quoted the Israeli Transportation Minister and aviation authorities reassuring international airlines about resuming flights to Ben Gurion Airport.

However, he stated, the Yemeni missile has reignited those fears among airlines, reinforcing Yemen’s decision to ban all aviation for the Zionist entity, particularly targeting Ben Gurion Airport.

Maj. Gen. Shamsan mocked the Zionist entity’s claims of intercepting the Yemeni missile, stressing the failure of its defensive systems—from THAAD and "Arrow" (Hetz) to radar detection systems capable of identifying targets up to 1,000 kilometers away.

He clarified that hypersonic missiles are the Achilles' heel of all existing defense systems worldwide, and as of today, no defense system is designed to intercept maneuverable hypersonic missiles. This was evident in the widespread activation of air raid sirens across over 200 cities, towns, and sites—from Jaffa (Tel Aviv) to Quds, extending to Netanya and other locations within occupied Palestine.

The military expert stated that this expansion in alarm sirens reflects the Zionist entity’s inability to determine the missile’s altitude, trajectory, speed, and direction. When they fail to pinpoint its path, they expand the siren coverage as a last resort to warn settlers and Zionists of the missile’s approach.

Maj. Gen. Shamsan declared that the Yemeni Armed Forces have proven their success and victory over the U.S., forcing it to abandon its mission of protecting the Zionist entity in the Red Sea after two rounds of aggression against Yemen—achieving nothing but further losses and the collapse of what remained of American hegemony in this critical strategic region.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 52,700 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In a historic statement on Sunday evening, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e declared, "The Yemeni Armed Forces will enforce a total air blockade on the Israeli enemy by repeatedly targeting airports, foremost among them Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport, as a direct response to Israel's decision to escalate its aggressive military operations in Gaza."
