"If Trump wants Mohammed and the region to sleep peacefully, he must stop supporting Israeli terrorism; it is a continuous danger," Al-Houthi wrote in a post on his X account.
He urged the United States to stop “sucking the blood of nations and investing in military and economic wars,” pointing out that “the cost of three weeks of American aggression on Yemen exceeded a billion dollars, which eventually forced you to seek an agreement.”
Al-Houthi added: “Any war waged by America is enough to squander what Trump collects from Gulf wealth, Ukrainian minerals, or Chinese tariffs,” stressing that “America does not come to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or the UAE to build nations, but to drain the resources of their people.”
He continued: “And for those who boast, let them ask about Saudi Arabia’s profits since 2017 to convince the world of the success of such investments.”
The reference to (Mohammed) in Al-Houthi’s statement responded to a rhetorical remark by Donald Trump, who had praised the Saudi Crown Prince, saying, "Mohammed, do you sleep at night? How do you sleep? You think all night about how to improve your country’s situation."
US President Donald Trump has arrived in Riyadh on the first leg of his four-day tour to West Asia as he seeks to secure as much as $1 trillion in Saudi investments.
Reports say Trump is expected to sign agreements worth more than $1 trillion during his visit to the oil-rich Persian Gulf state.
The deals include investments in artificial intelligence companies and energy production, as well as arms purchases from American weapons manufacturers, according to the reports.
