Baghaei described these airstrikes as “clear evidence of the aggressive and criminal nature of the Zionist regime,” considering them a new step in the ongoing series of crimes against Islamic nations in the region.
He stressed: “Attacking economic infrastructure and public facilities in Yemen — including the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Al-Salif — is not only a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, but also a clear example of a war crime and a crime against humanity.”
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson added: “There is no doubt that the unconditional support by the United States, the United Kingdom, and some other Western countries for the Zionist regime has encouraged it to continue on its path of chaos, occupation, and massacres against unarmed Palestinian women and children — and now, the oppressed people of Yemen. These governments are direct partners in these crimes and must be held accountable before global public opinion.”
Baghaei also strongly criticized the inaction and passive silence of the UN Security Council in the face of this series of attacks, describing it as a sign of the declining legal and moral authority of this international body.
He called on the Islamic world to recognize its moral and legal responsibility and to stand united against the Zionist regime’s expansionism and wars, warning that continuing on this path will not only further destabilize the region but also seriously endanger global peace.
At least 12 citizens were killed and wounded in the recent Zionist aggression on Salif and Hodeidah ports as a preliminary toll, according to the Health Ministry.
These new enemy attacks coincide with the massive million-strong rallies in the capital Sana’a, Hodeidah governorate, and other Yemeni provinces under the slogan "With Gaza… Confronting the Crimes of Genocide and Starvation."
They also come as the Yemeni Armed Forces continue their heroic and courageous operations, striking deep into the Zionist entity and disrupting air traffic at Lod Airport (referred to by the Israelis as "Ben Gurion").
As the genocidal war on Gaza escalated, the Yemenis enacted a strategic blockade on essential maritime routes to obstruct the delivery of military supplies to Israel and urge the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared they will continue their assaults until Israel ceases its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
