Leader Slams Muslim Silence Amid Escalating Tensions at Al-Aqsa

News - Yemen: The leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badreddin al-Houthi, strongly criticized the silence of Muslim nations in response to the increasing incursions by Zionist settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards.

In a recent address, Sayyed Abdulmalik highlighted that extremist Jewish groups have carried out large-scale raids on the mosque, raising Israeli flags and performing Jewish religious rituals near the Al-Buraq Wall. He described these actions as part of a deliberate effort to erase the Islamic identity of the site and impose a Zionist-Jewish character, disregarding its religious and historical significance to Muslims worldwide.

"The nature of these violations is not surprising," Sayyed Abdulmalik stated, referencing Quranic verses that describe past transgressions by those who opposed divine messengers. "Their hostility is well-documented—throughout history, they have maligned prophets and now continue their provocations in one of Islam’s holiest sites."

A Contrast in Responses

The leader expressed dismay at the lack of a unified Muslim response, noting that even polytheistic societies historically defended their beliefs more vigorously than many Muslims do today. "While past nations mobilized to protect false idols, some Muslims now show alarming indifference toward their own sacred sites," he said.

He urged Muslims to reclaim their religious consciousness, warning that continued passivity would only embolden further violations. "If those who worshipped idols were willing to fight for their false beliefs, how can Muslims—followers of the truth—remain passive as their sanctities are attacked?"

Military Context in Gaza

Shifting to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Sayyed Abdulmalik praised Palestinian resistance efforts despite overwhelming odds. "The enemy has deployed five military brigades to subdue Gaza, yet their campaign has stalled in the face of steadfast resistance," he said.

He condemned Israel’s tactics—including siege warfare, systematic starvation, and attacks on hospitals—as "crimes against humanity" meant to compensate for military failures. "The resilience of Gaza’s fighters, with minimal resources, proves the effectiveness of resistance. Imagine what could be achieved with broader support from the Muslim world."
