News - Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces once again targeted Lod Airport in occupied Jaffa on Tuesday evening, expanding the scope of the comprehensive aerial blockade.

In a statement, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e explained that the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied Jaffa area using a "Palestine-2" hypersonic ballistic missile.

He confirmed that the operation successfully achieved its objective, by the grace of Allah, causing millions of the Zionist occupiers to flee to shelters and bringing airport activity to a halt.

The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces noted that the operation also prevented "the landing of an American military cargo plane at Lod Airport for the second consecutive day. He stated that the strike came "in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance fighters, and in response to the genocide being committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip."

"The criminal enemy will find nothing from steadfast, proud Yemen except more missiles and drones—rejecting the crime of genocide, supporting the just Palestinian cause, and defending the oppressed, patient, and resilient people of Gaza," the statement said.

"Yemen has chosen not to stand idly by as crimes, genocide, and siege are carried out in Gaza. With Allah's help, it will continue to escalate and expand its military operations until the aggression against Gaza stops and the siege is lifted," it added.

Since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemen’s Armed Forces have intensified their military operations in support of the Palestinian people. These operations, part of the Battle of the Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad, have included missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli-linked assets, as well as naval and aerial blockades aimed at pressuring Israel to end its aggression and lift the siege on Gaza.
