News - Yemen: The Palestinian Ahrar Movement praised Yemen’s courageous positions and the recent statements made by Yemeni Defense Minister Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, in which he reaffirmed Yemen’s support for the Palestinian people and their resistance.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the movement commended the precision Yemeni strike that targeted Lod Airport in the occupied city of Jaffa with a hypersonic ballistic missile of the Palestine-2 type.

The statement noted that this latest strike reflects the steadfast and genuine commitment of Yemen’s Armed Forces and people to the Palestinian cause and its injustices. The movement also called on Arab and Islamic nations to break their deadly silence and crippling inaction and to follow Yemen’s example in defending the sanctities of the Muslim nation.

Since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemen’s Armed Forces have launched a sustained military campaign—The Battle of the Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad—in direct support of the Palestinian people. This campaign has included long-range ballistic missile and drone attacks, as well as comprehensive naval and aerial blockades aimed at crippling Israeli infrastructure and forcing an end to the siege on Gaza.

A central target has been Lod Airport (Ben Gurion) in occupied Jaffa, which has been struck multiple times, most recently with a hypersonic Palestine-2 missile. These attacks have grounded flights, halted the landing of US military aircraft, and triggered mass evacuations, highlighting the growing reach and effectiveness of Yemen's military capabilities.

Yemeni Defense Minister Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi recently affirmed that the Armed Forces are fully prepared for further escalation. In a report to the Council of Ministers, he underscored that Yemen holds the strategic initiative and possesses 24/7 launch readiness under all conditions. He also emphasized that Yemen’s capabilities now include greater precision, longer range, and advanced technology—representing a new era in modern warfare.
