News - Yemen: On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi extended heartfelt congratulations to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah and to the Muslim Yemeni people. He also conveyed his greetings to the honored Mujahideen steadfast on the frontlines, the military and security forces, state institutions, and the entire Islamic Ummah—especially the Palestinian people.

Sayyed Abdulmalik stated that Eid al-Adha arrives at a time when the Palestinian people are enduring an unprecedented tragedy as a result of ongoing genocide and brutal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy with direct backing from the United States. He strongly criticized the Arab and Islamic world's silence, calling it an act of disgraceful betrayal.

“The shameful negligence of Muslims in Arab and other countries, along with the complicity of some Arab, Islamic regimes, stands as a grave moral and historical failure,” Sayyed Abdulmalik declared. 

He emphasized that Muslims across the globe bear the burden of having failed the people of Gaza and neglecting the imminent threats facing Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He highlighted the daily violations of the sacred mosque, including deliberate desecration of its courtyards, repeated incursions, and acts of blasphemy against the Prophet Mohammed, as evidence of the Zionist regime’s dangerous agenda.

Sayyed Abdulmalik warned that the Zionist enemy, with overt American support, is working to forcibly displace millions of Palestinians from both Gaza and the West Bank. “Despite the expulsion of millions, the enemy remains unsatisfied,” he said. “It continues to confiscate what remains of Palestinian land through expanding settlements and blatant violations of international agreements.”

He asserted that the actions of the Zionist regime have exposed the futility of negotiations and proven that armed resistance is the only viable path. 

“We are compelled to seek divine victory, trust in Allah’s promise, and reject submission and betrayal,” Sayyed Abdulmalik added.

The persistent betrayal of the Palestinian cause, he stated, has reached a level that shocks even non-Muslim nations and people of conscience. “Each day of Palestinian suffering adds weight to the collective responsibility of the two-billion-strong Muslim Ummah,” he warned.

Concluding his speech, Sayyed Abdulmalik described the genocide in Gaza as the “crime of the century” and called for urgent mobilization and sincere action by the Islamic world. He warned that failure to act would bring divine wrath and the harsh consequences foretold in the Qur’an.

Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi’s Eid al-Adha speech comes amid an intensifying humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. Since late 2023, the Israeli military campaign in Gaza has resulted in widespread civilian casualties, large-scale displacement, and the near-total destruction of infrastructure. 

Yemen has positioned itself as a vocal supporter of the Palestinian cause. In recent months, Yemen has intensified its anti-Israel stance through military actions, including carrying out attacks against Israeli targets using ballistic and hypersonic missiles as well as drones. Yemen has also imposed a naval blockade on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea, and in May, it expanded this blockade to include Lod Airport and Haifa Port in northern occupied Palestine.
