News - Yemen: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) affirmed that the Zionist attacks on civilian and service facilities in Yemen reflect the helplessness and strategic bankruptcy of both the United States and Israel in the face of Yemen’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian people.

The PFLP strongly condemned, in the harshest terms, the latest Zionist aggression that targeted civilian infrastructure at the port of Hodeidah in Yemen.

It stated that “this renewed escalation, carried out by naval forces, reflects Zionist desperation and an inability to counter the qualitative strikes Yemen continues to launch in support of Palestine, reaffirming its advanced role on the Gaza support front.”

The PFLP stressed that this treacherous attack comes amid an obvious failure to stop the growing momentum of Yemen’s deterrent operations, which are now establishing new rules of engagement against aggression and siege, while also exposing the extent of US and Western complicity in targeting free nations and resistance forces.

The group reiterated its full solidarity with the Yemeni people and their Armed Forces, noting that the aggression is a desperate attempt to break a resilient will that has endured—and continues to endure—years of blockade and war.

It concluded by stating, “Through its steadfastness and sacrifices, Yemen is solidifying its leading position in the nation’s struggle against the Zionist and colonial project, proving that resistance-based deterrence can overturn existing power dynamics and reshape the strategic balance.”

The recent airstrikes on Yemen’s Hodeidah Port mark the latest in a series of Zionist aggressions aimed at pressuring Yemen to halt its military and political support for the Palestinian people amid the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.

On Tuesday, two Zionist air raids targeted the port’s piers in western Yemen, following a pattern of escalating attacks. Earlier in May, airstrikes were launched against Sana'a International Airport—just days after limited flights resumed between Sana'a and Amman—as well as against Hodeidah’s ports, cement factories in Bajil and Amran, and power stations in the capital.

Despite these repeated attacks, the Yemeni Armed Forces have maintained their operations targeting Zionist infrastructure deep within occupied Palestinian territories. Yemen has also imposed a naval blockade on Israeli shipping routes, targeted Lod Airport, and enforced an aerial ban on flights in and out of occupied Palestine. Sana'a has declared that these operations will continue until the siege on Gaza is lifted and Israeli aggression ends.
