News - Yemen: Military affairs writer and researcher Brigadier General Nidal Zahwi has affirmed that the intensifying Yemeni military operations deep inside the Israeli entity have exposed its fragility and embarrassed it on the global stage.

In an exclusive statement to Al-Masirah TV, Zahwi stated, “The escalation of Yemeni military operations has deepened internal divisions among Zionist settlers,” explaining that many settlers have lost confidence in their government and are now calling for its replacement.

He noted that the Israeli regime’s failure to achieve its declared objectives in the Gaza Strip—along with its inability to protect settlements from Yemeni missile and drone strikes—has turned public opinion against the leadership. “The fall of the government is expected in the coming days,” Zahwi added.

He attributed Israel’s failure to take control of Gaza and eliminate the Palestinian cause to the resilience of the Yemeni support front, describing it as a major strategic challenge for the Zionist entity.

Zahwi also dismissed Israeli claims of successfully intercepting Yemeni missiles and of falling debris damaging settler homes, calling them misinformation intended to conceal the regime’s glaring security failures.

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemen has launched a series of missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli interests in solidarity with the Palestinian people. These operations have included strikes on occupied cities and infrastructure, as well as maritime disruptions in the Red Sea aimed at Israeli-linked vessels.

The Yemeni Armed Forces stressed these operations are part of a broader campaign to pressure Israel into ending its siege on Gaza and halting its military aggression. In response, the United States and its allies have attempted to intercept Yemeni projectiles and bolster regional defense systems, though with limited success.

The effectiveness and frequency of Yemeni operations have overwhelmed traditional missile defense systems and forced even high-security facilities—such as embassies and intelligence headquarters—to take shelter repeatedly.

These developments mark a significant shift in the strategic landscape of the region, expanding the battlefield beyond Gaza and Lebanon to include the Arabian Peninsula, and raising questions about the durability of US-Israeli deterrence and defense capabilities.
