News - Middle East: In a message of appreciation on Saturday, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, lauded the Iranian nation’s steadfast resistance against “the savage aggression of the Zionist regime.”

He said the people of Iran will continue to stand firm until the enemy is forced to regret its actions, referring to the continued aggression of the Zionist enemy since last Friday, which has claimed the lives of nearly 400 Iranians, including children and women.

He commended the Iranian public for their historical legacy of courage and defiance in the face of Zionist aggression.

“The heroic, brave, and devout Muslim nation of Iran has repeatedly shown that it does not surrender to invaders. In confronting the Zionist regime’s attacks, too, our people will resist with all their might,” he said in his message, originally in Persian.

“Future generations will proudly recount the stories of your courage and the sacrifices made by the children of this land in our armed forces.”

The top Iranian military commander also paid tribute to martyrs and their families and hoped for the swift recovery of the wounded.

He also praised the solidarity and strong turnout in the nationwide rallies on Friday, describing it as a powerful sign of national unity and awareness.

Major General Mousavi expressed gratitude for the unwavering support shown to Iran’s armed forces, including the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Army, Ministry of Defense personnel, police units, border guards, Basij forces, and the anonymous soldiers.

He emphasized the importance of their efforts in defending the country from the enemy.

Major General Mousavi succeeded Major General Mohammad Bagheri as the top Iranian military general following the latter’s assassination in the Zionist aggression last week.

Iran has carried out 19 phases of Operation True Promise III so far, striking at the heart of the Zionist regime and destroying many of its strategic military sites.
