News - Middle East: Lebanese political activist Ali Hamieh stated that the recent US escalation targeting Iranian facilities is a hostile show of force that ultimately serves the interests of the Zionist entity. He described the move as a misguided strategic decision by Washington, driven by Israeli pressure and blackmail.

Hamieh emphasized that the United States does not intervene in regional conflicts out of concern for its own interests, but rather to advance the agenda of the Zionist entity. He noted that all indications surrounding the recent aggression suggest Washington is implementing Israeli objectives, even at the expense of its own strategic position and global reputation.

He pointed to diplomatic efforts by Russia, China, and Pakistan as expressions of direct support for Iran, adding that it is widely understood any destabilization inside Iran will provoke a deadly and precise retaliation against the Zionist entity—now within the strategic range of the Axis of Resistance.

Hamieh rejected claims that Iran has withdrawn from negotiations, clarifying that it is the Western side that violated agreements and breached understandings. “The West cannot call on Iran to return to negotiations when it never left them in the first place,” he said.

West is Complicit in the Aggression

Hamieh revealed that British military bases in Cyprus directly took part in the Israeli attacks, providing logistical and strategic support to the Israeli enemy. He confirmed that “British destroyers in the Red Sea and the Gulf are operating within a defense system designed to protect ‘Israel’ from Iranian and Yemeni missiles.”

He added, “Britain has always been the main partner of the Zionist enemy—from the Balfour Declaration to the present—and remains the spearhead of Western hegemony in the Middle East.” He further stated that the regimes normalizing relations with the Zionist occupation are merely tools—political, military, and security extensions of the West—that lack real sovereignty despite illusions of economic independence.

Hamieh concluded with a warning against viewing the aggression as an isolated incident. “Everyone is complicit in the terrorism being waged against our region. The Axis of Resistance, led by Iran and extending through Yemen and Lebanon, is the force standing against hegemony, occupation, and Western agendas,” he said.

Tensions in the region have escalated sharply following coordinated US-Israeli attacks on Iran's nuclear sites. US President Donald Trump publicly claimed responsibility for the strikes, declaring them a direct hit on facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Iran, however, reported minimal damage and stated that the sites had been evacuated in advance.

This aggression follows weeks of Israeli military escalation and warnings from Iran and its allies—including Yemen—that any attack would trigger a regional response. The Yemeni Armed Forces have reiterated their readiness to target US military assets in the Red Sea if the aggression against Iran continues, framing the conflict as part of a broader Zionist-American effort to dominate the region and suppress resistance movements.
