News - Yemen: The American magazine Newsweek confirmed that US missile defense systems have been significantly depleted in efforts to protect "Israel."

The magazine noted that "Israel" has long relied on the American THAAD system to shield itself from missiles launched by Iran and Yemen.

It further explained that the United States used 20 percent of its global stockpile of THAAD missiles to defend "Israel" during the recent confrontation with Iran, revealing that the THAAD system failed multiple times to intercept Yemeni missiles within "Israel."

The ongoing Israeli aggression in the region has intensified in recent months. As part of its defense strategy, the Israeli enemy has relied heavily on advanced US-supplied missile defense systems, including the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, designed to intercept ballistic missiles in their terminal phase.

Yemen has increasingly targeted Israeli positions with long-range missile and drone attacks, especially in response to the war on Gaza and regional Israeli aggressions. These attacks have tested the effectiveness of American missile defense systems deployed in the region.

The United States, which maintains several THAAD batteries globally, deployed part of its arsenal to bolster Israeli defenses. However, the system has faced operational challenges, with multiple reported failures to intercept incoming Yemeni missiles.
