Yemen's FM: Peace Is Our Strategic Choice, We Are Ready to Confront Any Imposed Aggression

News - Yemen: Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriates Affairs, Jamal Amer, praised the advancement of Yemen’s military capabilities and the popular unity around the revolutionary leadership represented by Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

During a meeting on Wednesday with the leadership of the ministry’s political and consular sectors, Amer emphasized that “the diplomatic front must be as strong and clear as the Yemeni Armed Forces,” stressing the continuation of diplomatic efforts to defend Yemen’s cause and support the Palestinian people in Gaza before the international community.

“The upcoming phase allows no room for half-measures or neutrality. It demands a decisive stance—either the path of national liberation that rejects foreign domination or alignment with those who have betrayed their country and become mere tools and guns for hire in the hands of regional and global hegemonic powers,” He stated.

The minister underlined the need to align with the current transformative phase, which leaves no room for gray areas or compromise.

He reaffirmed that Sana'a loudly declares, “Peace is its strategic choice, and war remains the exception,” while confirming Yemen's full readiness to confront any imposed aggression.

Addressing the situation in the Red Sea, Amer affirmed that “Sana’a’s position is firm and not open to interpretation,” reiterating Yemen’s commitment to ensuring the security and safety of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Suez Canal.

He noted that the decision to block Israeli ships is directly tied to halting the aggression on Gaza and ensuring the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip. He described this position as a humanitarian, religious, and moral responsibility in light of the ongoing international and regional silence on the crimes being committed in Gaza.

Yemen continues to support Gaza on all fronts, including military support through the launch of hypersonic and ballistic missiles. These operations have successfully achieved their objectives, disrupting air traffic at Lod Airport (Ben Gurion) and preventing Israeli ships from navigating the Red Sea toward the port of Umm al-Rashrash in southern occupied Palestine.

In recent years, Yemen has steadily transformed from a war-torn nation defending its sovereignty to a central player in a broader regional confrontation against foreign hegemony. As part of the Axis of Resistance — an alliance that includes Iran, Hezbollah, and other anti-Zionist forces — Yemen has elevated its position through increasingly strategic and coordinated military operations.

Since the ongoing genocide in Gaza by the Israeli enemy, the Yemeni Armed Forces have not only issued statements of solidarity but have also taken direct action. These actions have ranged from missile strikes targeting critical military installations in occupied territories to high-impact naval operations that have disrupted Israeli-link shipping through the Red Sea.
