Speaking on the Files program on Almasirah TV, Sabri stated that the treacherous US and Israeli strikes on Yemeni ports and civilian infrastructure are designed to project military superiority ahead of political negotiations over Gaza. He stressed that this escalation reflects a state of strategic confusion within the Zionist entity.
He added that the Zionist aggression against Yemen further reveals the enemy’s disarray and inability to achieve its core objectives. The repeated bombing of previously targeted sites, he said, is a sign of tactical setbacks. Yemeni Air Defenses, meanwhile, have successfully intercepted recent strikes, showcasing advanced logistical and defensive capabilities.
Sabri noted that the Zionist enemy was caught off guard by the presence of air defense systems it had not anticipated, complicating its military operations and forcing it to rely on air power in a hazardous and costly logistical environment. He emphasized that Israel seeks to avoid a full-scale, multi-front war, instead attempting to isolate and attack one front at a time — with Yemen currently at the center of this approach. However, he asserted that the enemy remains unable to achieve decisive results in Yemen, just as the United States failed before it.
He explained that the temporary Zionist entity now understands that Yemen is no longer a distant geographical concern, but an existential threat due to its strategic location along the Red Sea — a waterway the Zionist regime seeks to dominate entirely.
Ambassador Sabri revealed that Yemen possesses undisclosed military surprises prepared for the long-term nature of this confrontation. He stressed that any future truce may not mark the end of the conflict, as renewed escalation remains likely — similar to what occurred following the January ceasefire.
He concluded by saying: “This battle with the Zionist enemy is not a single round. The Yemeni leadership is prepared for all scenarios, both defensive and offensive, and many strategic options remain reserved for future rounds — whether in Yemen or across the broader Axis of Resistance.”
In recent years, Yemen has emerged as a significant player in the regional balance of power, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict between the Axis of Resistance and the Israeli occupation.
While traditionally viewed through the lens of its internal conflict and humanitarian crisis, Yemen's military evolution has positioned it as a key strategic actor capable of influencing events far beyond its borders.
Yemen’s involvement in the regional confrontation has intensified since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza, with Sana'a framing its actions as part of a broader moral and strategic commitment to the Palestinian cause.
Through a series of missile and drone operations targeting Israeli assets, Yemen has signaled a readiness to escalate its role and impose maritime and aerial restrictions on Israel, including threats to close the Red Sea and target critical infrastructure.
