News - Yemen: The most likely scenario for a ceasefire from Yemen would be reaching an agreement to end the fighting in Gaza, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported, citing Zionist officials. The officials stressed that continued Israeli airstrikes on Yemen would be ineffective.

The report added that Israel fears missile fire from Yemen could resume whenever future confrontations with the Palestinians occur.

Quoting a source within the Israeli occupation government, Haaretz stated: “The Yemenis are an enemy that should not be underestimated.”

The paper further noted that Yemen possesses advanced missile capabilities, and with each launch, the accuracy of subsequent strikes improves. It explained that Israel is fully aware that continued attacks from Yemen carry serious risks, including direct hits on strategic infrastructure and disruptions to aviation.

Israeli media described footage of the Magic Seas vessel sinking in the Red Sea as “shocking.”

In recent years, Yemen has emerged as a significant player in the regional balance of power, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict between the Axis of Resistance and the Israeli occupation. 

While traditionally viewed through the lens of its internal conflict and humanitarian crisis, Yemen's military evolution has positioned it as a key strategic actor capable of influencing events far beyond its borders.

Yemen’s involvement in the regional confrontation has intensified since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza, with Sana'a framing its actions as part of a broader moral and strategic commitment to the Palestinian cause. 

Through a series of missile and drone operations targeting Israeli assets, Yemen has signaled a readiness to escalate its role and impose maritime and aerial restrictions on Israel, including threats to close the Red Sea and target critical infrastructure.
