News - Yemen: Military expert and analyst Brigadier General Mujib Shamsan confirmed that Yemen now possesses a “long arm” and growing influence stretching across three seas and an ocean—forcing the United States to shift from an offensive role to one of merely “putting out fires” in the region.

In an interview with Al-Masirah TV, Shamsan stated: “Yemen’s strategic presence now clearly extends from the far north of the Red Sea to the eastern coast near Socotra Island.”

He highlighted a recent Yemeni strike targeting a US logistical supply vessel affiliated with the USS Abraham Lincoln, describing it as a “crippling blow” delivered using a hypersonic naval ballistic missile.

“This strike made it clear to the Americans that Yemen now has a long reach—from the eastern Arabian Sea to the northern Indian Ocean and all the way to the northern Red Sea,” he said, adding that some strikes have even reached as far as the Mediterranean Sea.

Shamsan emphasized that “Yemen’s influence now spans three seas and an ocean in one of the world’s most strategic maritime regions.”

He noted that this influence is proven by the repeated failures of US and British forces to protect targeted ships or prevent attacks—despite their heavy presence in the region.

“The United States has effectively become a civil defense team—focused on fire suppression and emergency response,” Shamsan said. “It hasn’t dared to intervene directly or rescue vessels attacked by Yemeni Naval Forces.”

This, he explained, underscores Yemen’s growing military power and effective control over a vital global shipping zone.

Since the Zionist aggression on Gaza began, Yemen has escalated its naval operations in three stages—starting with a Red Sea ban on Israeli shipping, then targeting enemy-affiliated vessels, and expanding to the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.

The sinking of the Magic Seas vessel marked a key escalation after repeated violations by its parent company entering Israeli-occupied ports despite Yemeni warnings. Yemeni Naval Forces issued multiple radio warnings to the ship, which refused to comply.

The attack involved unmanned boats setting the ship on fire, followed by a special forces raid that ended with the vessel’s destruction and sinking. This operation, documented in video and audio, sent a strong message to companies violating Yemen’s maritime blockade, demonstrating Yemen’s growing naval capabilities and commitment to pressuring Israel through maritime control.
