News - Yemen Strategic affairs researcher Ali Hameyah affirmed that Yemen has significantly escalated its military operations against the Israeli enemy, noting that the Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi spoke about the new weapons used in Yemen’s support operations for Gaza.

In a statement to Almasirah channel, Hameyah explained that the Leader revealed during his weekly speech on current events that Yemeni air defenses will no allow enemy aircraft to fly freely in Yemeni airspace, emphasizing that enemy planes would now have to attack Yemen from outside its airspace.

He described this as a major turning point and a qualitative shift in the confrontation with the "temporary entity" (Israel), especially since all weapons used are of Yemeni manufacture, in addition to complex military operations conducted by air, sea, and land, employing all types of arms.

Hameyah noted that the real military transition occurred when the Gulf of Aden—alongside the Red and Arabian Seas—was included in the operational zone where Zionist ships or those linked to the "temporary entity" are barred from passing. He pointed out that another shift took place with the move toward sinking ships, as happened recently.

This evolving landscape has not only challenged Western naval dominance but also placed Yemen at the center of regional security and geopolitical discourse. Analysts now recognize that any future settlement in the Red Sea or surrounding regions must take Yemen’s military and political role into account—signaling a fundamental shift in the balance of power.
