News- Middle East: A 15-member journalism team from various countries is visiting locations in Tehran targeted by the Israeli regime during the imposed war against Iran as part of the “Condemning Terrorism Against Media” event hosted by the Sobh Media Center.

The event, running from July 17 to July 20, focuses on exposing the crimes of the Israeli regime against Iranian media outlets and infrastructures.

The program aims to commemorate media martyrs and produce independent narratives highlighting the authority and solidarity of the Iranian nation in the face of terrorist attacks by the regime.

International journalists, accompanied by their Iranian counterparts, will witness firsthand the devastation caused by the regime's recent 12-day aggression and will have the opportunity to transmit documented reports to global audiences.

Organized by the World Service of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), the event provides a platform to bolster independent media coverage and serves as an effort to counter distorted narratives propagated by Western media.

The primary focus is on locations damaged during the Israeli regime's aggression, including media centers targeted by Israeli state terrorism.

The Participants represent global media outlets, with journalists from the US, the UK, Germany, Canada, Brazil, Algeria, Lebanon and other nations.

Richard Medhurst, the renowned Syrian-British independent journalist and political commentator is among the journalists travelling to Iran.

Diego Sequera, the Venezuelan journalist, Writer, translator and political analyst, who specializes in geopolitics, modern wars, global conflicts is also among the journalists in Tehran.

Of other participants is Rezwana Akhtar Matin, an American citizen and social media activist known for her advocacy in Palestine.

Andreas Landeck, the German filmmaker and director is also part of the 15-member journalism team that has travelled to Iran.

Other journalists include Ricardo Garcia Vilanova, Jennifer Koonings, Radwan Mortada, Rajaa Ben Ayad, Calla Walsh, Sadia Hannan, Mastapha Wehbi and others.

On Wednesday, Ahmad Norouzi, head of IRIB World Service said that around 100 international journalists requested to reach Iran to cover the various aspects of the Israeli brutality.

As many as 15 of those have been selected to report on the atrocities, some of whom have already reached Iran to avail themselves of the “exceptional opportunity,” he noted.

On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists.

The Israeli attacks also targeted military and nuclear sites as well as vital non-military infrastructure, including a building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Evin Prison, healthcare centers, outreach facilities, and both residential neighborhoods and rural communities, inflicting widespread civilian harm. These attacks also caused over 900 civilian fatalities.

In response, the Iranian armed forces, led by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), launched a powerful and unprecedented retaliatory campaign, Operation True Promise III, against the Israeli regime, using many of its domestically developed new-generation missiles for the first time.

Hundreds of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones overwhelmed Israeli air defenses and struck key military, intelligence, industrial, energy, and R&D facilities across the occupied Palestinian territories.

On June 24, the Israeli regime, isolated and abandoned, declared a unilateral halt to its aggression, announced on its behalf by US President Donald Trump.
