Sayyed Abdulmalik: We’re Boosting Military Power to Escalate Pressure on Israel and Support Gaza

News - Yemen: Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi reiterated his appeal to the governments of countries geographically separating Yemen from Palestine to open corridors for Yemenis to join the fight in Gaza.

In a televised speech on Thursday regarding the latest developments in Gaza, Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that the Yemeni people are ready to mobilize in the hundreds of thousands to support the Palestinian cause.
“We hope and strive for the opening of passages to support the Palestinian people—we seek it, work for it, and hope to achieve it,” he said.

He emphasized Yemen’s unwavering commitment to Palestine, stating: “In this tragedy, as we share in the Palestinian people's pain, grief, and suffering, we are studying additional escalatory options. We are constantly working to enhance our military capabilities to strike and pressure the Israeli enemy more effectively.”

On recent military operations, Sayyed Abdulmalik revealed that Yemen’s Armed Forces launched 11 operations over the past week using hypersonic missiles and drones against the Israeli enemy in occupied Palestine.

He also confirmed that the naval blockade on the Israeli entity remains in effect, and that the port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) has been fully shut down once again. “The closure of Umm al-Rashrash port inflicts heavy losses on the enemy—it is a complete defeat in every sense.”

Since the beginning of Yemen’s military support for Gaza, he stated, “our forces have carried out 1,679 operations using missiles, drones, and naval vessels.” He added that the enemy failed to deter Yemen's stance despite massive joint aggression from the US, UK, and Israel, which launched 2,843 air and naval strikes on Yemen, causing hundreds of casualties.

“The Israeli enemy, alongside the Americans, has failed to halt Yemen’s support for Gaza and its righteous jihad for Palestine,” he said.

“This is the time for jihad more than ever before—against a clear enemy of Islam and Muslims, and in a just and undeniable cause,” Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed.

He also praised accompanying civilian and social activities, particularly the efforts of Yemeni scholars, who serve as an inspiring model for religious leaders and mosque preachers across the Islamic world.

The leader commended the ongoing tribal mobilizations, calling them vital, as the tribal role remains the backbone of Yemeni society.

Sayyed Abdulmalik applauded the massive protests at Sana’a University, describing them as a model for all universities in the Muslim world, and questioned: “Where are the students and academic voices in the Islamic world? They should be leading in awareness.”

He revealed that over 1,007,000 people have participated in mobilization and military training programs—an important and major achievement.

Concluding, Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that the Yemeni people deeply feel the suffering of Gaza. “The voices of our people in marches and demonstrations are a testament to their will. Our nation remains firmly committed—unshaken by US, UK, and Israeli aggression, economic war, siege, or propaganda campaigns.”

Since the start of the Israeli enemy war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemen has positioned itself as a frontline supporter of the Palestinian cause. Yemen has launched hundreds of missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli ports and infrastructure in occupied Palestine, particularly as part of a broader campaign to enforce a naval blockade on Israeli shipping through the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

In response, the US, UK, and Israel have conducted repeated airstrikes on Yemeni territory in an attempt to deter Yemen’s involvement. However, these strikes have failed to curb Yemen’s military activity or weaken its political stance.
