Military expert Brigadier General Abdulghani Al-Zubaidi, in his analysis on Almasirah TV on Thursday, described what happened as "far more than a missile strike"—it represents a strategic shift in deterrence architecture. Yemen is now setting the rules of engagement far beyond its geographical borders.
This is not just about a "missile," but rather what this missile—or even the rumor of it—reveals about the breach in Zionist security consciousness. The decision to halt flights at one of the most fortified airports, based on intelligence (which may have been an intentional leak from Yemen), means that Sana’a now dictates the security and political mood deep inside the Zionist enemy entity—from thousands of kilometers away.
What’s striking, according to Al-Zubaidi, is that the intelligence itself has become a tool of deterrence. Military decisions in the entity are now hostage to "Yemeni messages"—often layered with implications—rather than being based purely on tactical assessments.
It’s enough for Sana’a to say, "We are here," for an airport to shut down, flight paths to be rerouted, and airlines to cancel or extend suspensions of their flights.
Al-Zubaidi noted that what is happening is an extension of a new model of sovereign popular deterrence: a state fighting outside traditional military frameworks, without international umbrellas or alliances, yet altering the course of battle through tactical ingenuity and effective psychological attrition.
What stands out is that Yemen does not rely solely on military action but manages its battle with long-term strategic depth—what could be called "sustainable deterrence immunity"—where political, economic, and security costs are imposed on the enemy without even pressing a launch button.
Brigadier General Al-Zubaidi explained that the Zionist entity takes any information about missile threats from Yemen with extreme seriousness, even if the intelligence is "misleading" or "circulated by a third party." This grave response reveals the depth of fear within the entity, triggering a "maximum alert status" in its air defenses—proving Yemen’s success in exerting psychological pressure.
He emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces have demonstrated their ability to carry out precision operations with tangible results, forcing the enemy entity to acknowledge that "Yemenis excel in this kind of warfare"—whether psychological or direct military action.
Al-Zubaidi added that Yemen’s military operations—including three strikes within 24 hours—have heightened this sense of danger among airlines, prompting precautionary decisions that reflect the weight of Yemeni threats.
He stressed that Yemen’s stance on the Palestinian cause, particularly in Gaza, is an "honorable position" that elevates "the dignity of Yemenis" amid "absolute and unprecedented Arab and Islamic inaction and silence."
He affirmed that this stance, which has earned the appreciation of Palestinian resistance factions like the Al-Qassam Brigades, represents a "great act" that contributes to "breaking the will of the dwindling occupier" and restoring the correct compass for the Palestinian cause.
Al-Zubaidi reiterated that Yemen has now become a "strong, significant, influential, and active player" on the strategic level. He pointed out that global research centers, including American ones, recognize that "the Yemeni state effectively controls the Bab al-Mandab Strait."
