News - Yemen: Mustafa Al-Zaidi, Secretary-General of the Libyan Popular National Movement, stated that Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, including military aid, despite its own economic and military hardships and ongoing war for over a decade, reflects the emergence of an independent national force with sovereign decision-making power.

In an interview with Arab Journal, Al-Zaidi noted that Yemen—having fought liberation battles against British colonialism and navigated through periods of unity and division—has become a true model of what a nation can achieve when freed from external dependency. He emphasized that any Arab country capable of reclaiming its political and sovereign independence can do what Yemen is doing today, and that such a people deserve respect and appreciation.

He added that, regardless of foreign smear campaigns, the reality shows that Yemen has become a national force with determination, acting from pan-Arab principles, with faith in Allah and reliance on Him.

Al-Zaidi further said: “The enemy does not target one nation alone, but aims to dismantle and dominate the entire region politically, economically, and culturally. What the Yemenis are doing today reflects a deep awareness of the nature of the conflict—an existential one—not merely about borders or politics. They are fulfilling the role every honorable Arab should embrace.”

As the war on Gaza intensifies and humanitarian conditions worsen, Yemen’s continued military and moral support for the Palestinian people has become a symbol of steadfast resistance across the Arab world.
