The Office confirmed that six airdrops were carried out in Gaza today, four of which landed in areas under Israeli military control or in neighborhoods previously ordered evacuated by the occupation, where civilians are at risk of being directly targeted and killed. This renders these airdrops not only useless but also dangerous to the lives of starving civilians.
It noted that Gaza requires a minimum of 600 aid and fuel trucks daily to meet the basic needs of critical sectors.
The Media Office strongly condemned the ongoing crime of engineered chaos and starvation, which has deprived 2.4 million people—including 1.1 million children—of baby formula and vital aid.
It held the Zionist enemy and all nations complicit in the genocide fully responsible for the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe, calling for the immediate opening of crossings and the safe and organized delivery of baby formula and aid under UN supervision.
While one million women and girls in Gaza face starvation, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) warned that the worst-case famine scenario is currently unfolding in Gaza.
The IPC review, supported by the United Nations, stated that growing evidence shows widespread hunger, malnutrition, and disease are contributing to rising hunger-related deaths.
It added that the latest data indicates that food consumption has reached famine levels across most of the Gaza Strip, with acute malnutrition especially severe in Gaza City.
Earlier Tuesday, a UN report confirmed that 100 percent of Gaza’s population is facing high levels of acute food insecurity amid the ongoing war of extermination and blockade.
According to official data, 147 people have died from hunger and malnutrition since the start of the war, including 88 children.
