New Israeli Massacre in Gaza: 51 Killed, 648 Injured While Seeking Food Aid

News - Middle East: The Government Media Office in Gaza reported on Wednesday evening that the Israeli occupation committed another bloody massacre against thousands of starving civilians in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 51 Palestinians and the injury of 648 others within just three hours.

The office explained in a statement that the massacre occurred as civilians were heading to collect food aid delivered via trucks from the “Zikim” area. They were targeted in the Al-Sudaniya area amid the catastrophic famine that the occupation has been imposing on the Strip for months.

It also noted that 112 aid trucks entered Gaza today, the majority of which were looted and stolen due to the systematic security chaos deliberately maintained by the occupation as part of a policy of "engineering chaos and starvation"—intended to sabotage aid distribution and deprive civilians of it.

The statement stressed that this massacre—and others that preceded it—reaffirms that the occupation is using hunger as a weapon of war, deliberately targeting civilians searching for food in cold blood, in flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws.

The office strongly condemned the continuation of these brutal and bloody policies and held the Zionist entity and its supporting countries fully responsible for the horrific crimes being committed against more than 2.4 million people in Gaza, including 1.1 million children being denied food and milk under a suffocating siege and systematic genocide.

It called on the international community, the United Nations, and international justice institutions to urgently act to open the crossings immediately, break the siege, and ensure the safe and organized entry of humanitarian aid—including infant formula—under full UN supervision, and to hold Israeli war criminals accountable for their escalating crimes.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that Gaza needs no less than 600 aid and fuel trucks per day to meet the basic needs of its vital sectors. These requirements remain far from being met under this ongoing, deadly blockade.

Since the onset of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in October 2023, the enclave has faced one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history. With all border crossings tightly sealed, vital supplies such as food, water, medicine, and fuel have been severely restricted or entirely cut off. This blockade has led to widespread famine-like conditions, particularly in the northern parts of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military has repeatedly targeted areas where civilians gather for food distribution, resulting in mass casualties. These attacks have drawn international condemnation but little concrete action, as humanitarian corridors remain largely ineffective. The Israeli policy, described by human rights organizations as "using hunger as a weapon of war," has created catastrophic conditions for Palestinians.
