News - Middle East: Dr. Ismail Al-Thawabteh, Director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, praised the massive million-person march in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, and other Yemeni provinces on Friday, in broad solidarity and support for Gaza, which is facing the most horrific crimes of slaughter and starvation in modern history.

In a post on his X account on Saturday, Dr. Al-Thawabteh wrote: "With immense pride, from the heart of besieged Gaza to the towering mountains of Yemen—you who set the finest examples of solidarity, chivalry, and dignity."

He added: "O people of wisdom and faith, you are not merely with us—you are within us… in our conscience, in our trench. Our blood is one, our cry is one. May Allah reward you, O great people of Yemen. Quds is our rendezvous, Allah willing."

Amidst the heavy rain, the free people of Yemen formed human floods in a million-strong march embraced by the capital, Sana’a, under the slogan: "Steadfast with Gaza and Palestine... Rejecting Deceptive and Treacherous Deals."

In this historic gathering, Yemenis poured in from every direction despite the rainfall, they renewed their covenant with Palestine and Gaza to continue on the path of jihad and martyrdom until decisive victory is achieved.

Since March 2, Israel has closed Gaza’s crossings and completely blocked the entry of goods and aid, leading to an unprecedented spread of famine in the Strip.

The Israeli regime has maintained a blockade on Gaza for 18 years and, since March 2, 2025, when it violated its ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, has sealed all border crossings, blocking the entry of all aid and worsening the already dire humanitarian conditions in the territory.

Since the Israeli regime began its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, it has murdered over 60,332 Palestinians and wounded more than 147,643, most of them children and women.
