Du’aa explained in an exclusive statement to Al-Masirah that the bombing does not distinguish between military and civilian targets. Warplanes targeted a residential apartment in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, resulting in one martyr and several injured.
The escalating Zionist aggression reveals a daily tragic scene of targeting civilians gathered to receive humanitarian aid. In the past 24 hours, 25 people seeking aid were martyred near the "Zikim" military axis northwest of the Strip, in addition to eight others martyred near the aid distribution center at the "Netsarim" axis in the middle of the Strip.
The correspondent confirmed that these attacks target the "crowds" who have no other option but to resort to these centers, which are supervised by American security companies.
She pointed out that the air-drops of aid, which began about two weeks ago, have not been effective in meeting the needs of the population. Instead, they caused the deaths of three Palestinian citizens in the past 48 hours. Notably, this toll shows that the new mechanism for delivering aid poses a danger to civilians' lives and does not contribute to solving the humanitarian crisis, according to Du’aa Ruqa.
Catastrophic Humanitarian Reality and Continuing Famine
Regarding the humanitarian situation, the conditions in the Gaza Strip worsen day by day, in stark contrast to the Israeli occupation's claims of bringing large quantities of aid. The amounts entering are very small and do not meet the minimum needs of the deprived population for essential goods such as poultry, fruits, vegetables, and fish for more than five months, according to the correspondent.
She described the "humanitarian truce" declared by the occupation as "fragile," confirming that the sounds of explosions did not cease during it.
The suffering is not limited to food shortages but has worsened with the emergence of groups of "thieves" who steal the little aid under the protection of the Israeli occupation, reducing its reach to those entitled to it. The correspondent confirmed that famine has reached critical stages, with continued reports of deaths due to malnutrition.
She also revealed a Zionist plan approved to occupy Gaza City and displace its residents to the southern areas but confirmed there is firm popular rejection of this plan. She clarified that Palestinians reject a repeat of the displacement they suffered at the start of the aggression in 2023, insisting on their land and homes.
Since the outbreak of intensified aggression in Gaza, the Israeli occupation has escalated military operations targeting residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure. Despite claims of facilitating humanitarian aid, the blockade and repeated bombings have created a catastrophic humanitarian crisis marked by widespread food shortages, displacement threats, and ongoing violence. New reports highlight the deliberate targeting of civilians, including those gathering for aid distribution, exacerbating the suffering of an already vulnerable population.
Efforts to deliver humanitarian assistance via air-drops have proven inadequate and even dangerous, leading to civilian casualties and failing to meet essential needs. Meanwhile, plans reportedly approved by the occupation authorities aim at forcibly displacing Gaza’s residents from northern and central areas to the south, stirring widespread resistance among Palestinians determined to remain on their land. This defiance reflects a broader refusal to repeat the traumatic experiences of past displacement, underscoring the population’s resilience amidst ongoing aggression.
