Jerusalem Post Exposes: UAE-Backed Council Awaits US Green Light to Attack Sana'a

News - Yemen: The Hebrew newspaper "Jerusalem Post" revealed details of negotiations between the Zionist entity and the traitorous government regarding preparations by the so-called Transitional Council (affiliated with UAE occupation forces) to militarily escalate the situation against Sana'a forces.

The Hebrew paper published an article by American journalist "Jonathan Spyer," who praised during his meeting with leaders of the so-called Transitional Council in occupied Aden - notably Major General Saleh Al-Hassan - who assured him that the Council possesses the capability to confront Sana'a forces in service of the Zionist entity, and is only awaiting an American green light to commence operations.

Spyer explained that his visit to occupied Aden aimed to explore potential "land partners for the West in Yemen" to help "push back" the Yemeni Armed Forces from the Red Sea region, given the strategic importance of this position for addressing regional security challenges.

The American journalist reported that the traitorous government's Defense Minister, Mohsen Al-Daari, felt "shocked" by the U.S. decision to reach a ceasefire with Sana'a forces, indicating that the hotel government had been expecting effective military support from Washington. He expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of coordination, both when airstrikes began and when they stopped, revealing the existence of a coordinated strategic plan to defeat the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea that was supposed to include the U.S., UK, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

The Hebrew newspaper called for supporting the so-called Transitional Council, which seeks to re-establish an independent state in the south with UAE occupation support, to form an effective force capable of addressing regional security challenges. It emphasized that success in this confrontation requires real military support from Western and regional allies, implicitly referring to America and the Zionist entity.

Since late 2023, the Yemeni Armed Forces have sharply escalated operations in response to the Israeli war on Gaza and the US-British backing for it. Positioning themselves as a key actor in regional resistance, Yemen has waged a sustained campaign against Israel-linked shipping in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and beyond, while imposing aerial and maritime blockades on the Israeli entity.

By deploying ballistic and hypersonic missiles alongside advanced drones, Yemen has disrupted established military balances in regional waters, forcing US and Israeli defense planners to confront threats they had long considered improbable. Many analysts now regard the confrontation as one of the most significant maritime conflicts since World War II, with repercussions extending far beyond the Red Sea.

The apparent withdrawal or repositioning of US forces following direct Yemeni threats to aircraft carriers has been seen as both a strategic and symbolic victory for Sana’a—and a humiliating setback for Washington, especially under Donald Trump’s administration, which had pledged to maintain unchallenged dominance in the region.
