News - Yemen: The First Deputy Prime Minister, Mohammed Meftah, inspected early this Sunday the damages caused by the Zionist aggression at the Haziz Power Plant in Sanhan District, Sana’a Governorate.

During the visit, Meftah stated that the Haziz Power Plant was subjected to a treacherous attack earlier today. He noted that the workers and civil defense teams managed to contain the fire, and repair and maintenance work has begun to restore the plant to its previous condition.

Meanwhile, the Director of Hazeez Power Plant, Ali Hussein Al-Alaya, affirmed that the attack on the facility is proof of the failure and miscalculations of the Israeli and American enemy.

Al-Alaya pointed out that targeting a vital facility that provides electricity to citizens and hospitals is a crime under international humanitarian law and is punishable. He added: “Repeated attacks on the plant will not deter us from carrying out our duties and work in service of the people and their institutions.”

The Zionist aggression on Haziz Power Plant in Sana’a, which caused a massive fire and disrupted electricity supply, comes amid ongoing courageous operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces. Despite repeated enemy assaults, Yemen continues to strike deep into the Zionist entity and disrupt its critical infrastructure, while supporting Palestinian resistance.
