News - Yemen: Hebrew media outlets,  Channel 12, reported on Sunday morning that the Israeli Navy had launched attacks on targets in Yemen.

The Israeli Army Radio stated that energy infrastructure in Yemen, including the Haziz Power Plant, was targeted using naval ship missiles.

An Israeli Army Radio correspondent said: “Tonight’s attacks on Yemen are ‘more of the same.’ This is not what will stop the Yemenis from firing at Israel. In recent months alone, they have already launched nearly 70 rockets and more than 20 drones at our territory.”

He added that the Yemenis’ problem will not be solved by targeted attacks of this kind, nor will it disappear if the war in Gaza suddenly ends. Who can guarantee, he added, that the Yemenis will not resume firing whenever they wish—whether Israel launches another operation in Gaza, in the Jenin refugee camp, or in southern Lebanon within a year, two years, or three?

Earlier in the day, Israeli air forces carried out strikes targeting the Haziz central power plant in Sanhan District, south of the capital, Sana’a. The attacks hit power generators, causing them to go out of service.

This assault comes as the Yemeni Armed Forces continue their strategic operations, including deep strikes into Israeli-held territories and the enforcement of maritime blockades aimed at restricting military supplies to Israel.

Yemen has made clear that it will persist in its military efforts until the Israeli aggression and blockade on Gaza are halted. 

Amid a broader humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where starvation, malnutrition, and ongoing attacks have pushed civilians to the brink, Yemen’s military actions represent both a tactical response to Israeli operations and a strategic signal to the international community about the urgent need to address the humanitarian emergency.
