News – Yemen The Political Bureau of Ansarullah on Sunday condemned Israeli aggression on Sana’a, describing them as a “desperate attempt” to deter Yemen from its continued support for Gaza and the Palestinian people.

In a statement, the bureau said the strikes, carried out for “propaganda purposes,” reflected an intelligence failure and Israel’s inability to stop Yemeni operations. It noted that Yemeni missile and drone attacks had already penetrated Israel’s multilayered defense systems.

The bureau stressed that targeting civilian infrastructure would not undermine Yemen’s internal cohesion or alter its principled stance in support of Palestine. It vowed that Yemen would continue to defend its sovereignty and escalate its response “by all available means” until the aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

The Israeli airstrikes on Sana’a came a day after Israeli media expressed growing concern over Yemen’s advancing missile capabilities, with air force sources suggesting that Yemen may have used a multiple-warhead ballistic missile for the first time—a development seen as a potential challenge to Israel’s air defense network.

Yemen has faced repeated Israeli aggression since late 2023, amid its declared solidarity with Palestine and its military campaign targeting Israel-linked shipping and strategic sites. Yemeni officials say the operations are carried out in defense of sovereignty and as part of efforts to pressure the Israeli enemy to end its war on Gaza and lift the siege.
