News - World: The Political Bureau of Ansarullah strongly condemned the act of an American-Zionist Republican congressional candidate who burned a copy of the Holy Quran, describing it as a flagrant aggression against Islam and a grave provocation to Muslims worldwide.

In a statement issued Wednesday, It said the burning of the Quran constitutes a blatant violation of Islamic sanctities and accused the US administration of providing cover and encouragement for such actions, citing Washington’s absolute loyalty to Zionism and submission to its directives.

The statement criticized what it described as Western hypocrisy, noting that while the US and Europe criminalize what they call “anti-Semitism,” they remain silent in the face of insults to Islam and its holy symbols. “This crime has exposed the false claims of the West regarding freedom and human rights,” the bureau said.

The Political Bureau of Ansarullah also linked the incident to broader Western policies, accusing American and European leaders of not only tolerating but actively supporting what it called “genocide in Gaza,” including the killing of women and children, while simultaneously suppressing peaceful demonstrations demanding an end to Israeli atrocities.

The group urged the US and Western governments to stop “waging war against Allah’s teachings and His Holy Book, which represents guidance, light, and mercy for humanity.”

It further called on the Muslim world to adopt serious and responsible stances in defense of Islam’s sanctities, warning that such violations would not have been repeated in multiple Western countries had the Islamic nation not abandoned its duty to defend its religion and holy sites.

Incidents of Quran burning in Western countries have sparked widespread outrage across the Muslim world in recent years, often carried out under the pretext of “freedom of expression.” Such acts have been condemned by Islamic scholars, governments, and human rights groups, who view them as deliberate provocations targeting Muslim communities.

In the United States and Europe, political and far-right figures have occasionally engaged in similar acts, further fueling tensions between Western societies and the Muslim world. Muslim organizations argue that while Western governments strictly prohibit and punish anti-Semitism, they often fail to apply the same standard when it comes to anti-Islamic acts.
