News - Yemen: The Yemeni Presidency has announced the martyrdom of several top national leaders, including Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi and multiple ministers, who were killed last Thursday during an Israeli strike targeting a routine government workshop.

Several other ministers sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious and are currently receiving medical care. Despite the attack, the Presidency affirmed that the government will continue operating in a caretaker capacity and that state institutions will maintain their services for the Yemeni people.

In a statement, the Presidency declared that the blood of the martyrs will serve as a driving force to persist on the path of resistance. Yemen also reaffirmed its unwavering support for the people of Gaza, highlighting that the country remains committed to its faith-driven stance against aggression.

The Presidency further emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen and develop Yemen’s Armed Forces, with the steadfast support of its resilient population, ensuring the nation remains capable of confronting all challenges and threats.

On Thursday evening, Israeli warplanes launched multiple air raids on Sana’a, hitting civilian infrastructure, public service facilities, and densely populated areas. Since the beginning of 2025, Israel has carried out more than 11 attacks on Yemen, mostly against non-military targets such as the Haziz power station, Yemen Oil Company, cement factories in Amran and Bajil, the port of Hodeidah, and Sana’a International Airport.
