Reporting on Tuesday, resistance media outlets identified the victim as journalist and broadcast engineer Ayman Haniyeh of the Iraq-based al-Manara Media Company.
The victim was killed near the Jordanian Hospital in Gaza City, which has come under the regime’s most ferocious assaults yet throughout the genocide.
The attacks are aimed at capturing the entire city, the Gaza Strip’s largest urban area, despite its hosting around a million Palestinians, who have fled there from the ravages of the war elsewhere throughout the Palestinian territory.
Prior to his martyrdom, Haniyeh had reportedly attended the funeral of Rasmi Jihad Salem, a cameraman and news coordination officer with Iran’s al-Alam Arabic-language TV network.
Salem had lost his life during an Israeli attack against a separate location in the city earlier in the day.
Commenting on his untimely demise, Gaza’s government media office condemned the “systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation.”
It held the regime as well as its key supporters, the United States, the UK, Germany, and France, fully responsible for these crimes, and called on international organizations to condemn such atrocities and protect journalists.
The fatalities were caused around a week after the military killed at least 20 people, including five journalists serving international outlets, during back-to-back strikes against an overstretched hospital in the southern Gaza Strip.
Shortly before the assassination spree, the regime had staged targeted killing strikes against Al Jazeera’s media team in Gaza City, claiming the lives of five media personnel, including heroic and celebrated journalist Anas al-Sharif.
The targeted journalists are among the 63,500-plus people, who have been killed throughout the genocide, the majority of whose victims have been women and children.
